Our Vision
In order to know and share the love of God, the people of Marton Methodist Church will seek God first in all our activities, each of us depending our life in God and responding obediently.
We shall
- Actively seek to make people feel welcome
- Welcome diversity and respect different points of view
- Provide opportunities and teaching to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ both inside and outside the church
- Offer flexible opportunities for us all to meet in spiritual and social fellowship appropriate to our needs
- Encourage worship styles which are relevant to our needs and the needs of those who wish to worship with us
- Be aware of each others needs and provide appropriate pastoral care
- Offer opportunities for all to contribute to worship
- Make our Christian presence and Methodist heritage more meaningful to those who use our premises and to the wider community
- Support and encourage ecumenical activities and, in particular, Churches Together projects
- See practical ways to offer a Christian response to National and International events
